The Ardara idea
“A place to stay closer to the land, the people, and a simpler pace.”

Ardara Lodge is a family project built on our own land in Kp Cipari, Sukatani, Cilawu. We are creating a small stay where guests can enjoy a private bamboo cabin, cool countryside surroundings, local food and a more direct connection with rural Garut.

Simple, private, and made for two.

Each cabin has a 3 × 4 metre main room, a private 2 × 3 metre bathroom, one double bed and a private balcony or terrace. The standard capacity is two adults, with additional arrangements available according to our stay policy.

Ardara Lodge sits in Kp Cipari, Sukatani, Cilawu, in a rural part of Garut. The cabins face Mount Cikuray, while agricultural land and local life surround the property.

Guests can use the lodge as a place to slow down, then explore the countryside through walks and local experiences being developed around the property.

Our story

A family project shaped by years on the road.

Ardara Lodge is a family business, managed by us as husband and wife. It grew from a simple wish: to develop our own family land, create opportunities for people around us, and introduce travelers to a part of rural Garut that we know personally.

Before Ardara, I spent around nine years working as a G Adventures tour leader. That experience shaped the way we think about travel: not only where people sleep, but how they meet places, people, food and everyday life.

Ardara is the beginning of bringing that experience home.

The essentials about the current Ardara Lodge plan.

Four bamboo cabins are planned. Each cabin has one double bed and a private bathroom.

The standard capacity is two adults. Up to four guests may be possible for two adults plus two children, subject to the final sleeping arrangement and stay policy.

The cabins include a private bathroom, hot water, Wi-Fi, towels, toiletries, drinking water, coffee and tea. Breakfast is included for two guests.

Weekday pricing is Rp350,000 per cabin per night from Monday to Thursday. Weekend pricing is Rp450,000 from Friday to Sunday. High-season pricing adds Rp100,000 to the normal rate; exact high-season dates will be confirmed.

No. The cabins do not have air conditioning or a fan. The property is designed around the natural rural setting and cooler highland environment.

Planned experiences include rural and agricultural walks, farming activities, Sundanese cooking, BBQ, bonfire evenings, trekking, meeting local residents, visits connected with nearby home industries, and coffee nursery experiences. Exact activities and availability will be confirmed as operations develop.

The lodge is currently under construction and preparation. The target is to open around October 2026, with the exact opening date to be confirmed.
